Our mission is to use the power of education to transform the lives of refugees, their communities and the world.

Amala runs the first secondary level programme and qualification in the world designed with and for refugee youth. We also offer Changemaker Courses in areas such as Peace-building, Ethical Leadership, and Social Entrepreneurship.

Global Secondary Diploma

Amala runs the first secondary level programme and qualification for out-of-school refugees and displaced youth. The modular programme, which is internationally accredited, enables displaced youth aged 16-25 who have missed out on education to access high quality learning.

Changemaker Courses

We also offer Changemaker Courses in areas such as “Peace-building”, “Maths for Change” and “Ethical Leadership.” Each course is 100 hours long and is designed to be run over a period of 10 weeks. Each Changemaker Course consists of 60 hours of in-person class time and 40 hours of online study.
