Strategic Plan 2024-2027

Amala’s Strategic Plan 2024-2027 outlines our critical next steps towards expanding hope for millions of refugee youth by 2040. It sets out three key strategic objectives: 1. Grow the impact of Amala’s transformative education programmes, 2. extend our model of transformative education to influence systemic change, and 3. sustain impact through a strong funding model.

Safeguarding and welfare policy

Amala is also committed to and has a responsibility to safeguarding the welfare of all community members of Amala, as well as others who come into contact with us, from physical, emotional and sexual harm and neglect. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any harm or exploitation of a child or a young person by our staff, volunteers, representatives or partners.

Complaints policy and procedure

Amala hopes that everyone who comes into contact with the organisation and our programmes will have a positive experience, and we aim to provide the very best services in all of our work. However, we recognise that from time to time there may be concerns that give rise to complaints, and which may require investigation. We want to know about these concerns so that we can improve for the future, and put things right for the person (or organisation) who has made the complaint.

Whistleblowing policy and procedure

Amala’s whistleblowing policy and procedure sets out the framework for dealing with allegations of illegal and improper conduct. Amala is committed to the highest standards of transparency, probity, integrity and accountability. This procedure applies to all Amala members of staff, volunteers and representatives.

Data protection policy

The Data Protection Policy sets out how Amala handles the personal data of individuals. It applies to all Amala employees, workers, contractors, agency workers, consultants, directors, and members among others.
