An extraordinary year: Amala’s 2024 Impact Report

976 young people reached with transformative education. Three new partnerships, two internationally renowned agencies joining together to accredit Amala, one award for exemplary services to education. It has been a truly extraordinary year for Amala!

We are delighted to share our Impact Report for 2024, with a huge thank you to each and every one of our donors, partners, volunteers and supporters who have engaged with Amala this year.

Guided by our mission of using the power of education to transform the lives of refugees, their communities and the world, in 2024 we transitioned from our first strategic plan, A Launchpad to Scale, to our next three-year strategy, Expanding Hope. This new strategic plan sets out our long term ambition to enable millions of refugee youth to access transformative education by 2040, and how we will get there.

This year, we saw even more impact from our alumni, who are turning their hopes into reality through pathways into entrepreneurship, employment and higher education after graduating. Amala alumni are solving local and global challenges, setting up and running their own social enterprises which are creating change in their communities, and advocating for refugees in global forums. Many have also become educators, facilitating transformative education for new Amala students.
