At Amala, we work with a range of schools, non-governmental organisations, and refugee communities to address the lack of secondary education opportunities for displaced youth around the world. We are constantly seeking to provide a safe environment for all our beneficiaries which is why we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Keeping Children Safe (KCS). KCS is a child safeguarding network that ensures organisations working directly for and with children have comprehensive safeguarding measures in place.

Being part of a community of like-minded organisations that share many of the same challenges as Amala, the KCS network will help us continue to develop and strengthen our policy, procedures and practices. This will include reviewing our safeguarding policy, strengthening our organisational practices so that these are more inclusive of students, and embedding a greater culture of safeguarding within Amala.

We take responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all community members of Amala seriously, and look forward to strengthening this commitment through the expert advice and support of KCS.
